The Saskatoon Blades are 1-and-1 on a five-game road trip through the United States.
After a 5-2 win Tuesday over the Tri-City Americans, the Blades suffered a 6-2 loss to the Spokane Chiefs Wednesday night.
Kirby Dach opened the scoring early in the first period for the Blades, only to have the Chiefs take a two-goal lead before the end of the opening period.
Dach scored his third of the season early in the second period to tie the game at 2-2. The Chiefs responded with goals from Jared Anderson-Dolan and Hudson Elynuik to take a 4-2 lead after 40 minutes of play.
The Chiefs put the game out of reach with third period goals from Zach Fisher and Jeff Faith.
Nolan Maier made 32 stops in the Saskatoon net.
The 10-13-2 and 1 Blades visit the Everett Silvertips on Saturday.
