A new season brings a new look for the Saskatchewan Rush.
The Rush announced Tuesday three new jerseys for 2017-18, the team’s third season in the province since moving from Edmonton.
The jerseys have even been named to reflect their purpose – the grey “armour” jersey will be worn at home, while players will don the black “power” jersey on the road. A third jersey will symbolize the “pride of the prairies” in vibrant green.
“The home and away jerseys pay tribute to our rabid fans, the very best in the National Lacrosse League, while the third jersey celebrates our home province” Rush team owner Bruce Urban said in a news release Tuesday.
The team’s primary colours haven’t changed, but fans will notice new features on the designs, including a new Rush circle logo on the shoulders.
The home and away jersey will have a unique panel that reads “#RushNation,” while the green design says “Saskatchewan.” The tops will complement the team’s new black-and-green shorts.
Rush fans can see the new uniforms in action for the first time Saturday, when the team hosts the Georgia Swarm at SaskTel Centre in a Champion’s Cup rematch to kick off the NLL pre-season.
All three jerseys are now on sale at the Rush office and online store. Fans can also buy one at SaskTel Centre this Saturday.
Blank jerseys will be sold for $120 plus taxes, while ones with player names will be sold for $160 plus taxes.
