The Saskatchewan Roughriders have defeated every other CFL team on their way to this ten-win season in 2017.
A lack of confidence shouldn’t hinder the Riders chances of getting a win on Sunday,
however, there are two noticeable obstacles the team will have to overcome in the eastern semi-final in Ottawa:
- The Redblacks had a bye in week 20 of the CFL season. We are at that point where every team could use a weekend off. Even those players who are hurt, even though they may not be officially injured, benefit from rest at this time of year.
- The Redblacks are at home. Don’t be fooled by Ottawa’s 3-5 and 1 record at TD Place Stadium. The Redblacks are hosting the Grey Cup, they have a fan base that can give their team an edge over any opponent on any given game day.
These are two aspects of this east semi-final that the Riders will have to keep top of mind in the lead up to Sunday’s playoff game.
