The Professional Bull Riders’ (PBR) Monster Energy Tour returns to Saskatoon this weekend.
The PBR Canada Finals take over SaskTel Centre starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, when 35 riders will compete in the first of two rounds to crown a Canadian national champion.
Round 2 runs Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
On top of the chance to take the national crown, riders will compete for $20,000 in prize money for the winner of the event.
Brock Radford, from De Winton, Alta., comes into the event with the lead in the national standings, but the title is still very much up for grabs with Manitoba’s Zane Lambert and Meadow Lake’s Cody Coverchuk nipping at his heels in second and third place, respectively.
Seventh-ranked Jared Parsonage out of Meadow Lake and ninth-ranked Justin Lloyd out of Tisdale will also enjoy home-province advantage throughout the weekend.
This will be the eighth consecutive year the PBR has come to Saskatoon.
