Legendary musician Tom Petty has reportedly suffered a heart attack.
Celebrity news site TMZ reported Monday that Petty, 66, was found unresponsive at his home in Malibu, Calif. Sunday night after an apparent cardiac arrest.
He was reportedly rushed to hospital. There are conflicting reports as to the singer’s condition. Some suggest the singer was taken off life support and has died. Other reports have Petty clinging to life in hospital, not expected to make it through Monday.
Petty wrote countless hits as the frontman for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, including Free Fallin and Don’t Come Around Here No More. He was also a member of the Travelling Wilburys supergroup alongside Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan and Jeff Lynne.
