North Battleford RCMP have identified a man suspected of trying to commit a robbery while armed with a projector screen.
After a public appeal for help to ID the suspect, RCMP said they are now working to find and arrest the man.
In a news release Wednesday, police said the man was denied service at a business on North Battleford’s Railway Avenue East shortly after midnight on Aug. 22.
He allegedly returned a short time later, brandishing a makeshift weapon, which officers said appeared to be a rolled-up projector screen.
The release went on to say the man “unsuccessfully attempted to conceal his face with an article of clothing.”
RCMP provided surveillance photos from the business appeared to show the man wearing a pair of pantyhose on his head.
The man reportedly demanded money, but left empty-handed. Police said he drove away in a small, dark-coloured car.
No injuries were reported.
