The Saskatoon Hilltops return home with back to back wins after a 44-0 victory over the Rifles in Winnipeg.
Running back Logan Fischer led the way with a pair of first half touchdowns as the Hilltops took a 33-0 lead into halftime.
Tom Schnitzler, Jason Price and Jordan Walls added majors for Saskatoon while the Hilltops defense held the shutout and forced two safeties.
“It was great to see them stay focused and play hard,” head coach Tom Sargeant said of his defense. “Winnipeg wasn’t quitting and we had to match that intensity.”
The Hilltops are unbeaten in eleven games, dating back to the 2016 season. They host the Ottawa Sooners in a crossover game on Saturday, Aug. 26 at SMF Field.
