The Saskatchewan Roughriders are now in the middle third of the season, and I will admit that “must-win” time is getting close.
The Green-and-White are in danger of having West Division rivals pull away.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers face winless Hamilton on Saturday. The Bombers are four points up on Saskatchewan for what appears to be the final crossover spot in the West Division.
It’s not ideal to be in “must-win” territory during the second week of August, but for the second straight season that’s where Saskatchewan sits.
Looking ahead to Sunday, B.C. is the obvious favourite after dominating the Green-and-White last weekend.
Time and time again, we’ve seen the improbable happen in the CFL. It needs to happen this weekend.
