A suspect is on the run from police after robbing a Saskatoon restaurant at machete-point.
In a news release Thursday, Saskatoon police said they were called to a restaurant on Idylwyld Drive North, between 38th and 39th Streets, at around 2 p.m. for reports of a robbery.
Staff told officers a man carrying a machete entered the restaurant and demanded cash, fleeing with an undisclosed amount.
Police said the man was wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie with white on the front, a black bandana and a red hat. He was also carrying a black backpack.
