A 28-year-old man faces several charges after a security guard was attacked with a knife Friday evening.
Police were called to a business in the 2300 block of Preston Avenue South, in the Market Mall area, at 6:34 p.m. Friday.
When they arrived two other guards and a civilian were holding the suspect down.
According to police, the 28-year-old man is charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, theft under $5, 000, several breaches and other weapon related charges.
The security guard suffered a minor cut on his hand and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
