Saskatchewan RCMP says a man has died after a Tuesday night collision outside of Saskatoon.
According to police, a semi-truck headed northwest on Highway 16 crashed into a Ford Ranger pickup truck as it tried to cross the highway on Township Road 384 around 10 p.m.
The 36-year-old driver of the pickup truck was declared dead at the scene, about 20 minutes northwest of Saskatoon.
The driver of the semi-truck was reportedly unharmed.
Traffic was shut down for several hours to allow investigators to work at the scene. All lanes were reported re-opened by early Wednesday morning.
The crash remains under investigation, according to a police media release.
