A complaint to RCMP about an injured woman in Hague has resulted in attempted murder charge for 67-year-old Lenis Neufeld.
According to police, officers were called to a residence in the community northeast of Saskatoon around 8:30 a.m. Monday and found an injured woman sitting outside with Neufeld.
The woman was taken to hospital with what police called undetermined injuries and Neufeld was arrested.
RCMP have not released any details about what happened to the woman.
Neufeld is charged with one count of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a weapon – a knife – for a dangerous purpose.
Neufeld made his first court appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court Tuesday.
Hague is located 45 kilometres northeast of Saskatoon.
