Over the years I have been told Saskatchewan’s soccer community is huge and that I don’t give the game the respect it deserves.
Some believe that more MLS and Champions League stories and results should be on our airwaves.
This Saturday, we get the chance to assess Saskatchewan’s soccer fan base.
We will get a true gauge on what kind of market this is when Laliga’s Valencia faces the New York Cosmos at the new Mosaic Stadium.
A soccer team that features Nani and plays in the same league as Real Madrid and Barcelona should draw well on a late Saturday afternoon.
If the new Mosaic Stadium is over half full for a match of this caliber, then I may need to re-think my approach. It it’s not, it’ll be coverage as usual.
