The competition level will never rival the intensity of a regular season game.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game and the television broadcast from the 2017 baseball mid-summer classic in Miami on Tuesday night.
Players such as Bryce Harper and George Springer were interviewed while playing the game.
Harper took time to talk about the NFL with the FOX broadcast crew. Springer was also mic’d up to give viewers some insights as the game was being played.
Understanding that this is more about promoting the game than winning, Nelson Cruz actually took his phone to the plate in the sixth to get a picture with home plate umpire Joe West.
West has been an umpire since 1976. Those who were offended need to lighten up.
All-star games are meant to be a celebration of a sport.
