The 19-year-old suspect at the centre of a child abduction in Prince Albert has been charged.
Prince Albert police charged Jarrod John Charles Wednesday with numerous offences including abduction, kidnapping, abandoning a child, criminal negligence, forcible confinement, sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
At 3:30 p.m. on July 4, police received a call from a family reporting their eight-year-old girl missing.
This resulted in an Amber Alert being issued shortly before 8 p.m.
It lasted about an hour before the girl was found safe.
Charles was located in Prince Albert later that evening at 11:15 p.m. He was arrested without incident in the 2900 block of 2nd Avenue West.
Charles will make his first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Thursday.
