Gisele Bundchen, her husband Tom Brady, the New England Patriots and for that matter the National Football League may be in damage-control mode.
On Wednesday morning, Bundchen said in an interview that Tom Brady had a concussion during the 2016 season, but added “we don’t talk about it.”
She also said “he does have concussions.”
At no point during the 2016 season was Brady on New England’s injury list for a concussion.
Now, the media will be relentless in finding out if Bundchen’s statements are true.
If Brady did suffer a concussion, there will be great analysis as to why the NFL’s greatest quarterback was on the field with a head injury. Questions need to be asked and answered.
Some good may come from this. It may bring awareness to the head trauma that football players, even the superstars, expose themselves to and how such injuries can be prevented to make the game better.
Having said that, get ready: This story isn’t going away any time soon.
