A large chunk of Saskatoon was without power Tuesday morning.
The City of Saskatoon reported that the power went out in the downtown core around 8 a.m.
The King George, Riversdale, Caswell Hill, Pleasant Hill and Holiday Park neighbourhoods were also reportedly affected.
As of 8:40 a.m., city crews had determined that the outage was caused by an equipment failure — a designation covering problems such as issues with transformers or faults with underground cables.
Power was restored by about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
