Old Man Winter isn’t quite ready to take his hooks out of Saskatchewan just yet.
Several areas throughout central Saskatchewan were blanketed with snow Thursday.
Radisson, Rosetown and Biggar were among the affected communities, but Saskatoon was spared.
Mark Melsness with Environment Canada said he expected about two to three centimetres of snow to melt by the end of the day.
“It’s kind of a narrow band, just spinning around. But for the most part, it’s going to stay west of Saskatoon today,” he said.
Melsness didn’t offer much hope for a return to warmer weather any time soon.
“It’s looking slowly better, let’s put it that way. But no huge warm-ups in sight,” he said.
