The Easter long weekend was marked with heavy snow in parts of northern Saskatchewan.
According to Environment Canada Meteorologist Mark Melsness, one area got the brunt of the storm.
“42 centimetres at Lloydminster and that seems to be the most that I’ve found,” Melsness told 650 CKOM Sunday.
Melsness is reporting 26 cm of snow fell around La Ronge, and Buffalo Narrows while just across the Alberta border Cold Lake got 30cm of snow through the weekend.
“Pretty much a good solid foot for parts of Northern Saskatchewan,” Melsness said.
Weather warnings first started on Thursday when Environment Canada issued winter storm warnings and snowfall warnings in most of the north.
The warnings stayed in place all day Friday before finally being lifted through the day Saturday.
According to Melsness, warmer, more spring-like conditions are expected to return to the province later in the week.
No word on if any snowfall records were broken.
