Regina police are asking for the public’s help after a man was sent to hospital with a serious injury over the weekend.
Officers were dispatched to a house in the 1300 block of Wascana Street for a report of an injured man at 8:52 p.m. Saturday.
Police said the initial call stated three men entered the house, sprayed bear mace and then assaulted a man with a bladed weapon before fleeing.
A patrol officer and canine member in the area went to the home and got the occupants out of the house, which was contaminated with bear spray.
A man was taken to hospital by EMS to treat a significant cut.
Canine and patrol searched the area but did not find the suspects.
Police investigated the incident and followed up with the victim and other potential witnesses to gather information and physical evidence.
Officers have not identified the suspects, but believe the three suspects were men. No weapons have been recovered.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 306-777-6364 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
