Carrot River RCMP are investigating a sudden death which occurred early Saturday Morning.
Mounties from the local detachment were called to a complaint of a male in the middle of the road early in the morning of April 1. Police and paramedics responded, but the 27-year-old male from Red Earth Cree Nation was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP said their initial investigation revealed the deceased may have been struck by a vehicle, and a wider investigation is currently underway which includes Carrot River RCMP and the collision reconstruction unit along with Prince Albert General Investigation Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
