Regina police are investigating a report of a man with a possible firearm around the General Hospital.
The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region (RQHR) said security received the report around 8:10 p.m. Thursday. The report indicated the man was in the area of the 15th Avenue entrance.
Police were contacted and RQHR security along with police officers set up a perimeter around the hospital and controlled access to the building. A search of the area followed for the person involved.
Shortly before 9 p.m. the perimeter was taken down.
EMS was diverted to the Pasqua Hospital during this time.
Police said, as of Friday afternoon, there was no evidence to suggest a man in the area was carrying a firearm, however, they were still looking over video.
