Two people who spent just over a week on the run from RCMP are now facing dozens of charges.
Kenneth Wayne Curtis, 28 and Candice Melissa Harvey, 32, allegedly fled from officers coming to arrest them in Lloydminster on Feb. 17.
The pair were the subject of a Feb. 19 police bulletin linking them to a number of break-ins and thefts throughout western Saskatchewan and east-central Alberta.
They were arrested by members of the Barrhead, Alta. RCMP detachment on Feb. 25.
On Wednesday, RCMP put out a release stating that they’d recovered $215,000 worth of stolen goods. Several vehicles were among the recovered items, including four pickup trucks, two SUVs and two cars.
They also found electronics, tools, antiques and personal identification documents — all allegedly stolen.
So far. Curtis is facing 20 charges relating to vehicle theft and possession of stolen property. Harvey is facing 19 counts.
Police said more charges could be coming as owners are re-united with their property.
The pickup the pair allegedly used to flee from police is still missing. Police said the Dodge Ram 2500 truck has a licence plate numbered 898 JHZ and may have a Scorpion Oilfield Services decal on the side window.
