Man injured after apparent shooting in Regina's North Central

Regina police are on the scene of a reported shooting in North Central.

Police confirm officers were called to a home on the 1300 block of Athol Street between 7th and 8th avenues around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim has been taken to hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The other people inside the home have been escorted out of the residence. Officers have set up a perimeter in the area.

Police said it is not clear who the suspect is, and a weapon has not been recovered at the moment.
