A three-game in three-night road trip for the Saskatoon Blades began with a 3-2 overtime loss to Kootenay on Friday.
Markson Bechtold scored the opening goal just 15 seconds into the contest while Kootenay added one of their own to close out the frame.
Mason McCarty broke the deadlock in the third with an odd man rush on a 4-on-4. The ICE forced overtime with a late goal.
Kootenay walked away with the winner a little over two minutes into the extra frame.
The Blades visit Lethbridge on Saturday.
