Four people are facing a number of charges after a wild ride in a stolen car this weekend.
Saskatoon patrol officers spotted a car driving erratically near 11th Street and Avenue P South around 1:15 a.m. Sunday,
Police said officers tried to stop the 2011 Chevy Aveo, but the driver and three passengers refused to pull over.
The car had been reported stolen an hour earlier as it sat unlocked and running outside a residence on Main Street.
Police said the suspects ran a stop sign and got into a minor crash with another vehicle before side-swiping at least two parked cars. They then allegedly abandoned the stolen car and tried to run away.
Patrol and K9 members found all four suspects nearby and took them into custody. During a search, police found a replica handgun and a hatchet.
Two women, ages 24 and 25, and two men, 21 and 22, are facing charges of possession of stolen property.
The 25-year-old female driver is also facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, evading police, possession of a weapon and obstructing a police officer.
The 24-year-old woman is also facing charges of breaching court conditions.
All four are expected to appear in court on Monday.
