Police units from several communities are investigating a sudden death in central Saskatchewan.
Rosthern RCMP received a call around 6:30 a.m. Friday reporting a man lying on a grid road three kilometres north of Duck Lake.
When emergency crews arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCMP’s northern major crime unit and Rosthern RCMP are being assisted by Saskatoon and Prince Albert forensic teams, along with P.A. collision reconstruction and the coroner’s office for the investigation.
As a result of the investigation the body has been identified as 52-year-old John Brown of Christopher Lake.
Bobby Gamble, 24, of Beardy’s First Nation is charged with second degree murder in connection and it set to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday.
The town of Duck Lake is located around 60 kilometres southwest of Prince Albert.
