Regina house fire sends person to hospital

Regina Fire is investigating the cause of a house fire on the 800 block of Garnet Street by 2nd Avenue.

Firefighters were called around 4:50 p.m. Saturday, and arrived on scene within minutes.

Three people had safely evacuated the home, but one had to be taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. There is no update on the person’s condition.

Regina Fire said the blaze started in one of the bedrooms and did not spread to any other room. The damage is considered moderate, although a dollar amount was not provided.
