The Saskatoon Blades picked up a second straight win with a 4-2 win over Red Deer Saturday night.
16-year-old forward Michael Farren (4) opened the scoring for Saskatoon, the lone goal in the first period. The youngster has 19 points in 36 WHL games.
Red Deer took the lead in the second period with back-to-back goals. Evan Polei scored both.
In the third, Gage Ramsay (6) scored on the powerplay while Lukus MacKenzie (6) converted on a shorthanded play to swing the game back in the Blades’ favour.
Jesse Shynkaruk added an empty-netter late to seal the game.
Logal Flodell made 20 saves on 22 shots for the win.
The Blades continue a 5-game home stand when they host Medicine Hat on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
