Saskatoon RCMP have confirmed a serious crash on Highway 5 was fatal.
Three people are dead after the collision Wednesday morning.
It happened before 8 a.m. when an eastbound semi and SUV collided, eight kilometres west of the Highway 2 junction in the St. Denis area.
A man, woman and child in the SUV died at the scene. The semi driver was not hurt.
As a result, RCMP blocked traffic in both directions. The highway reopened shortly after 2:30 p.m.
The names of the victims have not been released, and RCMP are still working on the cause of the crash
