Back in May, Ingrid Van De Wiele was working her shift in security at the Moose Jaw Casino when something unusual happened.
“I get a call from one of my guards,” said Wiele. “He said, ‘well we found a teeny tiny little kitten that barely even has its eyes open underneath a truck in the parking lot in the rain.’ “
She immediately called the Moose Jaw Humane Society who set the kitten up for adoption after nursing him back to health.
The shelter named him Ace but unfortunately the kitten had no luck getting adopted as he was in their care for 212 days.
Until this past week, when Ingrid was able to convince her boyfriend to get a third cat.
“When he found out how long he had been there, he kinda went, ‘okay that’s far too long for a kitty to be at the humane society so let’s bring him home.’ “
Ace now has a furr-ever home. However, many kittens and cats are still up for adoption at the Moose Jaw Humane society. Click here to find out how you can adopt.
