Horrible news on Christmas Eve for the family of a Keeler-area man who died in a highway rollover.
RCMP said the rollover happened around 1:30 a.m. Saturday on Highway 42 between the Marquis and Keeler.
The SUV the 34-year-old man was heading west on the highway when it crossed the centre line, went into the ditch and rolled, according to RCMP.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene – his name is not being released at this time.
RCMP closed that portion of the highway for several hours as they investigated the crash. As of 11 a.m. officers were still trying to figure out what caused the crash.
