After a woman was stabbed in Yorkton back in September, the accused is now admitting to the act.
On Tuesday, Skylar Redstar, 32, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and assault at provincial court in Yorkton.
Redstar received five years in jail, but with time served he will spend four years seven months behind bars.

Redstar was located and arrested a short time later.
