Regina police are looking for a man who got away after officers discharged a Taser on him Thursday night.
Officers were called to the 1200 block of Athol Street, where a woman was being assaulted by a man. When they arrived, the man was still allegedly assaulting the woman.
Officers chased the man, but were unable to arrest him. Police said he was “non-complaint and challenged officers” and that his words and actions indicated he wanted to harm someone.
Police said officers struggled with the man before discharging a CEW, better known as a Taser. However, the man fled the scene.
Police are still trying to identify the man and his whereabouts.
Regina Police Service notify the public whenever officers discharge a Taser.
