The government of Saskatchewan is reminding truckers and shippers winter weights aren’t needed yet on provincial highways.
The government said winter weights won’t be needed until at least early December, due to recent warm weather.
The Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure permits trucks to add additional weight for greater trucking efficiency and cargo capacity. But Saskatchewan has not yet seen sufficient freezing.
Truckers and shippers can check the Highway Hotline and provincial website for the latest status of winter weights.
