The Pilot Butte access at Highway 1 is scheduled to close for good on Tuesday.
This will allow crews to begin construction on a new overpass at that spot, part of the $1.88 billion Regina Bypass. The overpass is expected to be complete in the fall of 2018.
Highway access will be redirected to Gravel Pit Road — just east of the Pilot Butte access — by the new north and south service roads. The speed limit along this route will be 60 km/h.
