Man charged in armed robbery at Saskatoon gas station

A man is facing charges after a Saskatoon service station was robbed over the weekend.

Police said around 8:40 p.m. Sunday, a 31-year-old man entered a gas station in the 200 block of Avenue B North.

The suspect had his face covered and was wielding a knife when he demanded cash.

The man then left the business with an undisclosed amount of money and headed north on a bicycle, according to police.

Officers used a description of the suspect and bicycle, provided by the store worker, to track down the suspect—who was found with the exact amount of money stolen from the gas station and a large hunting knife.

He’s charged with robbery, disguise with intent to commit an indictable offence, weapon dangerous to the public peace, carrying a concealed weapon, two breaches of probation and one breach of undertaking.
