A two vehicle crash at Albert Street and College Avenue in Regina Thursday afternoon resulted in a car flipping onto its roof.
Bradie Herbel, one of the drivers, told 980 CJME she was driving on Albert Street when the light turned yellow.
“I did not have enough room to stop otherwise I would’ve been in the middle of the intersection, so I sped up just a little bit so I could make it through without stopping in the middle of the intersection,” she said.
According to the Herbel, that’s when the other driver tried to make a turn onto College Avenue from Albert Street. The vehicles hit head on, and the other one flipped.
Herbel said she is OK, just a little shaken up, and it appeared the other driver was fine too.
“Make sure you’re always paying attention, If you are really not sure if you have enough time to make a light don’t chance it or this situation possibly could’ve ended up a lot worse with someone in the hospital.”
