A 15-year-old girl is facing an assault with a weapon charged after a fight Saturday night.
Regina police said they were called to the area of Dewdney Avenue and Montague Street, in the North Central neighbourhood, around 11:30 p.m. for two women fighting. One of the women was described as having some kind of weapon in her hand.
When police got there they found a woman who had a non-life threatening injury from an edged weapon – she was taken to hospital.
Police said a short time later they found and charged a 15-year-old girl. She cannot be identified as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
