Saskatoon police are asking people to be patient following the release of a photo of dozens of allegedly stolen bicycles.
Police reported Monday that they found 40 bikes, as well as between 40 and 50 wheels and tires during a routine check at a home on the 300 block of Avenue J on Saturday.
On Tuesday, police issued a media release saying they were receiving several calls from people hoping their stolen bikes were among those recovered. They said investigators are still processing all the evidence.
In the meantime, police advised people to visit their website to file an online report including as much detail as possible. They said having a bicycle’s serial number on hand is the easiest way to get it back if it’s recovered.
Two men, 35 and 26, are facing charges of breaching court conditions. The 35-year-old man was also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
