After more than a month of negotiations and a requested trade, the Roughriders have come to terms with first-round draft pick Josiah St.John.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders used their first-round pick in the 2016 CFL draft on Josiah St.John. The 6’5″ tall, 305 lb offensive lineman said he was excited to get to work after the draft, however negotiations dragged on.
At the beginning of June during training camp, the Riders said they weren’t considering a deal with St. John, with head coach Chris Jones commenting that the player’s representation was making things difficult.
However, on Thursday the team confirmed St.John had been signed to a three-year contract.
