A Wakaw bus driver is facing charges after a crash that saw a seven-year-old boy airlifted to hospital in Saskatoon.
RCMP say the boy was on a bike, going in the same direction as the school bus when he was hit around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. However, the bus didn’t stop after it hit the boy.
The bus driver, a 55-year-old man from Wakaw, has been arrested and charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident. He makes his first court appearance next month.
The boy was airlifted to Royal University Hospital. Police say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
