Thousands of dollars of damage was done to the new Mosaic Stadium early Thursday morning.
The Regina Police Service says officers were called to the site around 12:40 a.m. about a person being inside the stadium causing damage.
Police found and arrested a 17-year-old boy. The police service says he was breaching a court order.
The damage done to the site exceeds $10,000.
The teen, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is now facing charges of break and enter with the intent to commit mischief over $5,000, two charges of assaulting a peace officer, failing to comply with a disposition and breach of undertaking.
The 17-year-old made his first court appearance Friday afternoon.
