Sunday marked the second day in the field for Norm Hall as the Wynyard-area producer started seeding for the year.
It’s a good year for Hall, as he’s been able to get in the field a few weeks earlier than in the past few years.
“With the drier weather, it is getting guys out on the land back down (to what) used to be normal times,” Hall explained, speaking with News Talk 980 CJME from his field.
“In this area, we weren’t going from anywhere between the fourth and the 15th of May – which the 15th is starting to get panicky late.”
Hall, who also serves as president of the Agricultural Producers Association of Saskatchewan, says most producers in his area were able to start seeding last week. He expects the rest to get in the field this week.
