A teenager is charged with armed robbery after a 39-year-old man was mugged near downtown Regina on Friday afternoon.
Around 2:20 p.m. on Broad Street near 12th Avenue, a 39-year-old man was approached by a 16-year-old boy who asked him for money. When the 39-year-old refused, the 16-year-old allegedly assaulted him with a knife.
Regina police responded and the victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The 16-year-old boy is facing charges for armed robbery and failure to comply. He will make his first court appearance on Monday.
