On Saturday morning, a house fire in Regina’s North Central neighborhood turned fatal.
According to Regina Fire and Protective Services, the call about the fire came in around 12:30 a.m. to the house at 1340 Montague Street.
Fire Marshall Randy Reba said one person died in the blaze, and “a number of” pets were killed as well. As of Saturday morning no details were being released about the person as police were still notifying next-of-kin.
Reba said the fire was contained to the main floor of the home, and is not considered suspicious.
