Two vehicles were involved in a crash in southwest Regina Monday night after one of the drivers suffered some sort of medical emergency.
Police say witnesses described a 58-year-old man being in “medical distress” after his vehicle struck another vehicle at the intersection of Lewvan Drive and Gordon Road. Police were called to the scene shortly after 4 p.m.
A 50-year-old woman was driving the vehicle that was struck. The force of the crash pushed her vehicle into a pedestrian walk light pole. Police say she didn’t need to be taken to the hospital.
The man, meanwhile, was taken to hospital in serious condition due to his medical emergency. Police say he is now in serious but stable condition.
