If people around Shaunavon have an emergency on Sunday, they’ll have to find somewhere else to go – the E.R. at the Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre is closed.
It’s being called a temporary disruption, meaning there are no emergency outpatient services or acute inpatient admissions. According to the Cypress Health Region, alternate arrangements have been made for current acute inpatients.
There’s no word on the reason for the disruption yet.
The disruption runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
It won’t affect long term care services or the facility’s primary health care clinic.
