Police have arrested three people after a Sutherland Mac’s Convenience store was robbed by masked, armed assailants Tuesday morning.
Just after 6 a.m, a store employee reported two men wearing masks came into the store in the 700 block of Central Avenue, threatened him with a knife and club, damaged items in the store and fled with cash and cigarettes. The employee wasn’t hurt.
Later, police arrested three people in connection to the armed robbery at a traffic stop at McKercher Drive and Taylor Street.
Two 17 year old boys from Borden and Prince Albert along with a 19 year old woman from Saskatoon were arrested. The group face charges including robbery with violence, wearing a disguise, mischief under $5,000, possession of a weapon, uttering threats, being party to the offence of robbery and outstanding warrants.
Police continue to investigate.
