Actor Sean Astin is the first featured guest announced for Fan Expo Regina on April 23 to 24.
Astin is most well-known for his role as Samwise Gamgee the hobbit in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He made his movie debut as Mikey in The Goonies and starred in the critically acclaimed movie Rudy.
The Fan Expo has become an annual event at the Canada Centre East at Evraz Place. The fan event features celebrity question and answer sessions, photo ops, autograph sessions, plus comic and graphic novel artists, cosplay costume contests and sales pavilions.
